This series allow to read/write M-Bus Slaves devices by RS232, ensuring galvanic isolation between M-Bus and RS232. HD67020 is a Plug&Play device and it allows to connect up to 3 M-Bus Slaves to RS232. The converter does not require any configuration. The baudrate is automatically detected at RS232 side and used (the same) to the M-Bus side.

MBus (Meter-Bus) is an European standard for remote reading of wide range of consumption meters. As long as MBus has both physical and application layer in most cases there is a need for external protocol/electrical layer converter to read MBus meter.
